The Bad Thing About the W Sydney…

Is that you’ll never want to leave! Seriously, I LOVED my stay here. The rooms are gorgeously appointed with amazing views of Darling Harbour and the city. The common areas of the hotel are as posh as one expects from a W. And the location is divine. Step out the door and amazing restaurants, bars, and fun things to do are all within walking distance. The bad thing about the W Sydney boils down to I can’t afford to move in permanently.

Taking a cue from the hotel’s perch on Darling Harbour, the gorgeous rooms at the W Sydney are marine chic at its finest. The rooms echo the curve of the hotel’s structure, with no 2 exactly alike and all offer a coastal vibe. My room happened to have a stunning view of Darling Harbour that I just could not get enough of. And I loved the quirky touch of the orca pillow! Did I mention the walk-in closet?!? I nearly swooned when I saw it. My only gripe about the room (and it is my gripe about nearly EVERY W hotel room) is that the lighting in the bathroom is … not great. Dear W Hotel designers – we ladies cannot do our hair and make-up in dark, moody lighting! Of course, this particular gripe was almost immediately wiped from my mind by the cute and fabulously stocked in-room bar. How can I worry about lighting when I’m provided everything I need to make a classic cocktail? Priorities, dahlings.

the bad thing about the W Sydney is

The W Sydney certainly catches the eye with its futuristic design as it rises above Darling Harbour. The interior is equally striking with design elements that are a delightful combination of sleek, bold, and mischievous. As soon as you walk in you know you are in for a good time. Enjoy a cocktail in the welcoming yet stylish Living Room, find sanctuary at AWAY spa, or feast your eyes on panoramic views of Darling Harbour from WET Deck. Every inch of the W Sydney feels posh and simply exudes inimitable style.

Darling Harbour and the adjacent Darling Quarter and Barangaroo precinct are at the heart of Sydney’s dining, retail, and entertainment districts. I really cannot imagine a better place to stay to have the best of Sydney at your fingertips. Pop out the front door of the hotel and immediately find yourself in the center of the action and right on a scenic waterfront walkway that winds its way all the way to the Opera House. I loved how much there was to do and see just outside of the hotel! It’s impossible to be bored if you choose to make the W your home base in Sydney.

So what are you waiting for? Book your stay at the W Sydney ASAP! I just know you’ll love it.  Thank me later – by leaving a comment (or contact me) and telling me all about your stay and adventures in Sydney!
