Savannah’s Finest Boutique Hotel – The Alida

I just spent 2 lovely nights at The Alida and I cannot stop gushing about it! Read on to find out why I believe The Alida is Savannah’s finest boutique hotel (and why I’m sure you’ll agree).

Fabulous Location

The Alida is located on River Street in Savannah, just steps away from the riverfront and its revitalized entertainment district. The Alida is a hidden gem that offers you unrivaled access to the riverfront’s shops, restaurants, and bars while simultaneously acting as the perfect launching point for your explorations of the rest of historic Savannah.

Impeccable Design

The attention to detail in the common spaces at The Alida is simply marvelous. The hotel manages to encompass the essence of Southern hospitality and timeless charm while also feeling both modern AND cozy. When you walk in you immediately feel welcomed and like you’d like to stay awhile. And yes, those cute bicycles in the lobby are available to rent!

Luxurious Rooms

The rooms at The Alida are unique and divine, with no 2 being exactly the same.  What you can be sure to find in all of them, however, are oversized windows with lovely views of historic Savannah, king sized beds, and a mix of classic decor and homey furnishings.  Mine happened to have the loveliest window seat overlooking the pool and it was the perfect place to curl up with a book and glass of wine.

Delicious Onsite Restaurant & Splendid Rooftop Bar

Rhett is The Alida’s onsite restaurant. It’s a classic American kitchen with some Southern flare and an appreciation for regional ingredients. I highly recommend the BLT (with fried green tomatoes – make it vegetarian by subbing out the bacon for avocado)!

If you head up to the rooftop of the hotel, you’ll find yourself at The Lost Square. I adore this spot and think you will as well! It’s lively, welcoming, and offers up a nice array of cocktails and light bites. Perfect for a sunset round of libations before heading out to dinner.

Having stayed at several hotels in Savannah, I can honestly say The Alida is my favorite. It checks ALL the boxes, making it Savannah’s finest boutique hotel in my humble opinion. I hope you’ll check it out when you visit Savannah – and if you do, please tell  me all about it in the comments or contact me. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
